OUR POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
The Staff Accountant is responsible for international monthly recurring duties, including preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and preparing various monthly financial reports. This position will help support important accounting projects such as standardizing account reconciliation processes and process improvements. This position will be fast-paced, challenging, and will allow for incredible personal growth opportunities in a company that has had and anticipates even more explosive global growth over the next several years.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
Month-end Close Activities
- Lead the month-end close process including preparation of timely and accurate monthly reporting package and review with business leaders
- Assist in preparation of annual financial statements and act as primary point of contact for external auditors
- Perform reconciliations of corporate general ledger accounts, including intercompany and VAT accounts
- Provide Tax Manager with supporting documentation in preparation of annual corporate tax filings
- Prepare monthly journal entries for depreciation, amortization, payroll, eliminations, and other corporate accounts
- Assist in research and documentation of technical accounting pronouncements, as applicable
- Assist in coordinating statutory audits for global entities
Accounting Projects
- Support creation of global policies and procedures
- Assist in documentation of internal controls
- Continuously strive toward process improvement and efficiencies
- Others as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Your Experience (Preferred)
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting (public accounting experience is a plus)
- Relevant experience applying knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent reconciliation and analysis skills
Your Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
